以上都是跟Rosset合作过的大师对他的好评。而他合作过的也不只这些，还包括了Beckett、Burroughs、Duras、Harold Pinter等等。许多他在1950以及1960年代出版过的书都引起许多骚动，挑战了人们对于礼节、规矩的认知，比如Lady Chatterley’s Lover 以及 The Tropic of Cancer这些经典作品。他出版了维多利亚时代的色情书籍。他跟Norman Mailer吵架吵到几乎大打出手。他经历过 被轰炸。经历过和平抗议。他的出版人生比大部分人精彩许多，这也是为什么他能够这么强烈地塑造了现代文化。
 
Rosset不是一位“绅士出版人”，不像Alfred A. Knopf、James Laughlin。如果他看到一群人往某个方向逃，他绝对会去探讨他们逃离地对象。如果他知道某个主题会被审查、禁止，这只会让他更加感兴趣。他的事业最后经历破产，他也接收了所有好的坏的评语。唯一不变的就是他对于出版的热衷以及毅力，让他永远是出版界最具影响力的人物之一。
 
Rosset在2012年去世，在他还在世的最后十年就开始写这本自传，一路上跟许多出版人以及编辑合作。他在这本书中引发读者思考言语、文学、性爱以及其他话题。书中包括Norman Mailer的Maidstone以及Samuel Beckett的Film背后的故事，也提起他当时如何跟美国政府因为Tropic of Cancer作战。只就是最真实的Rosset！
