Director, screenwriter, producer and film critic. Davide Ferrario is an intellectual who loves cinema. He experiments with different genres and styles, with the aim of telling small stories of Italian people, provincials in search of a fuller life. With a sharp critical spirit, he has created comedies and dramas, and has become fond of the investigative spirit of documentaries. He is also an author of novels (his Dissolvenza al nero has been translated into many languages and adapted for the screen by Oliver Parker); he is a contributor to newspapers and radio stations; and, recently, a photographer. He also published Sangue mio (Feltrinelli, 2010).
