*本书获得2023年Barnes & Nobel Children’s and YA Book Awards: Barnes & Noble Announces Annual Children’s & Young Adult Book Awards Winners - Barnes & Noble Inc (barnesandnobleinc.com). “Mrs. and Mr. MacLeod didn’t create the typical picture book,” said Scott Berkowitz, Manager of Children’s Books, Barnes & Noble. “How to Eat a Book is a fantastical portal to a world filled with whimsy and adventure. The Grunion cousins fell right out of a Shel Silverstein poem, and we’re thrilled to welcome them to our ever-expanding book club of favorite story-time friends. We can’t wait to see what’s next for the Grunions.”
Mrs. & Mr. MacLeod are children’s bookmakers, living off-the-grid with their five children in the redwoods of Mendocino, California. Mrs. MacLeod received her MFA from the Savannah College of Art & Design and spent her early career as an art director in San Francisco. She combines dipped pen & ink with cut paper & light to create original illustrations. Mr. MacLeod spends a heap of time engaging with the wild in the world and has the scars to prove it. Those scars have turned into stories.
